Job Overview: The Retail Sales Associate at Mike's Bike Shop is responsible for delivering an outstanding shopping experience to our customers. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, providing expert advice, processing payments and ensuring the store is clean and well-organized. The ideal candidate is passionate about cycling, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:
•Ensure every customer is greeted upon entering the store in a friendly and professional manner once they have had the time browse on their own for a minute or so reengage with offering assistance with an open-ended question.
•Execute sales/customer experiences employing an engaged hospitality based guided sales approach from door to door.
•Provide product knowledge and recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
•Handle customer inquiries via phone and email in a prompt and courteous manner.
•Commitment to a self-directed continuous leaning approach staying informed on the latest trends, products, and technologies.
•Maintain a high level of completion and engagement with industry provided training tools.
•Participate in internal exercises like morning huddles, staff meetings and training exercises.
•Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals, develop social media content and other store objectives.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment merchandising both sales floor and back stocked inventory.
•Participate in store events, promotions, product-knowledge sessions, and community outreach activities.

Job Overview: A Service Advisor at Mike's Bike Shop is responsible for delivering an outstanding client experience focused on maintaining a hospitality first environment. This role centers around the intake and execution of work orders, providing expert advice, processing warranty while at all times maintaining open communication channels with clients and technicians ensuring workflow is organized and punctual. The ideal candidate is passionate about cycling, has excellent communication skills, a detail-oriented aptitude and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:
•Execute all customer experiences employing an engaged hospitality based guided sales approach from door to door. Providing product knowledge and recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
•Handle customer inquiries via phone and email in a prompt and courteous manner.
•Commitment to a self-directed continuous leaning approach staying informed on the latest cycling trends, products, and technologies.
•Maintain work order flow by diligently managing customer and technician expectations.
•Complete OTDs or allocate OTDs when completion at the desk is not available.
•Ensure sales and service team is updated on OTD and WO ETAs on a daily basis.
•Participate in internal exercises like morning huddles, service huddles, staff meetings and training exercises.
•Collaborate with team members to achieve, develop social media content and other store objectives.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment merchandising the service desk area, back stocked inventory, service bays and back shop.
•Participate in store events, promotions, product-knowledge sessions, and community outreach activities.
•Diligent completion of daily tasks.
•Maintain “Guide” status on Trek university
•Maintain “Sherpa” status on Ascend University
•Maintain a high level of completion on S-tech and Sram University

Bicycle Mechanic

Job Overview: A Bicycle Mechanic at Mike's Bike Shop plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service by providing expert bike diagnosis, maintenance, and repair. This position demands a deep knowledge of bicycle systems, from bleeding and servicing disc brakes to suspension tuning and wheel building. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, the ideal candidate is detail-driven, efficient, and passionate about cycling. With a commitment to maintaining an organized and customer-focused service department, our mechanics ensure that each client's needs are met with precision and care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level customer service through bike diagnosis and repair service
  • Knowledgeable in bleeding and servicing disc brakes
  • Knowledgeable in suspension forks and shocks including servicing and tuning
  • Build, tension and true wheels
  • Complete repairs as scheduled in a fast-paced service department

Qualifications:

  • 2 years previous experience working in the service department in the cycling industry
  • Detailed and extensive knowledge of all bicycles types, parts, tools, service techniques and parts compatibility
  • Knowledge of suspension forks and shocks, servicing and tuning, suspension kinematics, bearing overhauls 
  • Attention to detail, efficient and tidy work practice
  • Knowledge of electronic gear installation preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment as well as being able to work as part of a team
  • Experience with POS systems preferred
