Price Protection Policy

If you find an advertised price in Atlantic Canada lower than what we have in store, before you buy or within 30 days of your purchase, we’ll gladly match that price. Should our own price be reduced, present us with your original receipt within 30 days of purchase and we will match the price and refund you the difference. Exclusions to our Price Protection Policy include: Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Boxing Day related promotional pricing and sales.


Products must be identical, advertised to the general public, either on web, email, or paper media and must be in stock. The product must be sold and shipped by a retailer and authorized dealer located within Canada. The following types of sellers do not qualify for a price match:

  • Marketplace sellers on websites such as Bestbuy.ca, Amazon.ca or resellers such as eBay.ca
  • Any sellers whose products are refurbished or liquidated

Layaway Policy (in-store only)

  1. Shop for what you want. 
  2. Make a down payment. 
    • Put 20% down at the time of the layaway purchase. 
  3. Make payments each month. 
    • Layaways are for 90 days total. 
  4. Get your goods. 

Need to cancel? 

Cancelling before 30 days? Your down payment will be returned.
After 30 days? We'll be happy to issue an in-store credit.

Return Policy (in-store)

  • Products must be in new unworn / unused condition
  • All tags must still be with the product
  • Full refund or exchange within 30 days
  • In store credit after 30 days

Special Order Policy

Don’t see it in the Shop? Let us special order it for you.
We ask for a deposit on merchandise not held in regular stock of 20% at the time of the order.
Special order bikes purchased online are subject to a MINIMUM 15% restocking fee if cancelled after 48 hours.

Returning a special order?
Once the special order item(s) are received at the Shop, we’ll be happy to issue an in-store credit on their return *applies to in store pick up only.
Shipped special order items may be returned at the buyer's cost and may be subject to a restocking fee depending on the product & return condition.

Online Orders

Shipping

In stock items generally ship within 3 business days. During peak times this may take a bit longer. Items coming from external warehouses may also take longer, order statuses will be update to reflect the progress of your order. 

Mike's Bike Shop FREE Shipping policy applies to Canadian-only online orders $79 and over, before taxes. Canadian orders under $79 will be subject to a $10 shipping fee. US Orders over $149 will qualify for free shipping. $149 and under will be charged $10. Any duties and additional fees for US orders are the responsibility of the buyer.

Free shipping does not apply to oversized goods such as Bikes, skis, car racks, and trainers. Heavy/large items shipping costs vary by location.

Shipping costs are based on urban delivery. Other charges may apply for shipments to non-major urban centers, Northern regions, and remote locations.

If extra shipping charges are required for your order we will contact you to confirm shipping costs and determine payment. Shipping times may vary depending on the destination and shipping method selected. Online orders ship from our store Monday to Friday and are not processed or shipped on weekends or statutory holidays.

We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses. We reserve the right to cancel any order we deem to be a potential freight forwarding service or potentially fraudulent.

In-Store Pickup

Most orders will be ready within 2 business days. If you need an item immediately we ask that you call us to confirm that the product is available before heading to our store.

Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to transfer from off-site locations.

Other items may require additional processing time for assembly.

We will call or email you once your order is ready for pickup.  Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders need to be picked up within 15 days or a 10% restocking fee will be charged.

Online Returns

Please check your order upon delivery. If there is damage, please contact us immediately at onlinesales@mikesbikeshop.ca

We will refund shipping costs or provide a return label in the event of damaged or incorrect merchandise. Sizing, colour, and general preference returns are the responsibility of the customer.

Canadian orders are best returned using Canada Post.
International returns should be shipped via Ground UPS or insured US Mail (we do not accept CODs).  

Returns must be shipped back to us within 30 days of their arrival to the customer. Merchandise returned that appears used, worn, installed, missing parts/packaging/tags, and orders returned outside the 30 day window will be subject to a restocking fee.

Labor fees are not refundable, i.e., custom-built wheels.

Backorders

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be back-ordered. In the event your online purchase is backordered, we will contact you to discuss the timeline and if you wish to proceed with the order.

Information Security

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information.

When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.

We sometimes use other companies (third-party service providers) to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders and delivering packages. They need access to some personal information in order to perform their duties but may not use this information for other purposes.

Accuracy of Pricing & Information

We make every effort to maintain current, accurate prices in our online catalog.

We strive for similar accuracy and timeliness with the other information we offer online.

We appreciate your understanding should any of the prices or other information provided be incorrect and regret any inconvenience such mistakes may create. We reserve the right to cancel any sale or order where an error exists in pricing or stock status regardless of the source of the error.
